Privacy in the Thrivari app

Last updated October 9, 2026

The Thrivari app is for people who work at a shop that runs on Thrivari. It opens your shop's dash, the same one you use on the web. This page covers what the app itself adds. Everything about your shop's own records is on the page for shops. Questions go to hello@thrivari.com.

The short version

Signing in

You type the mobile number your shop has for you, and we text a six-digit code to it. Texts go through Twilio. A code works once, for 10 minutes. After you sign in, your sign-in is kept in your iPhone's Keychain, so the app can open your shop without a new code.

Face ID

If you turn it on, the app asks your iPhone to check it's you each time it opens. Apple's Face ID does the checking on your phone. The app only learns yes or no. Your face data never leaves your phone and never reaches us.

Notifications

If you allow them, your phone gives us a notification address that only works for this app. We use it to tell you about bookings, moves, cancellations, and payments in your chair. You can turn each kind off, or turn them all off in your iPhone's settings. Apple delivers them, so Apple sees that a notification was sent to your phone.

Photos and the camera

The app uses your camera only when you take a before or after photo of a visit. Those photos are stored privately for your shop. They are never public, and links to them stop working after a week.

How the app is used

Like the dash on the web, the app keeps a record of which pages are opened, which buttons are pressed, and how long screens take to load. We use it to fix problems and make the app faster. It stays with us and your shop. We don't use advertising IDs or any outside tracking tools.

Who else touches it

Cloudflare runs our servers and stores the data. Apple delivers notifications. Twilio sends sign-in texts. Square handles card payments when you charge a guest. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

What we'll never do

Sell your information, share it for advertising, or follow you around other apps and websites.

Signing out and deleting your account

Signing out removes your sign-in from your phone and stops notifications to it. To delete your account, email hello@thrivari.com from the address your shop has for you, or use Delete my account in the app. We'll delete your sign-in and notification details within 30 days. Your shop keeps its own business records, such as the visits you worked, as described on the page for shops.

Children

The app is for people who work at a shop. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top when this changes. If a change affects information you've already given us, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
